In May 2016, OSHA released a final rule requiring organizations in designated industries to electronically submit injury and illness information.
Companies must know key deadlines related to this new rule and how this new electronic submission process will work for them.
There are many deadlines companies must be aware of in regards to this ruling. First, for data collected in 2016, organizations must both submit Form 300A data by July 1, 2017. 300A data collected in 2017 must be submitted by July 1, 2018.
Beginning in 2018 and each year thereafter, organizations with more than 250 employees must also submit their 300 and 301 forms in addition to the 300A. Beginning in 2019, all required data must be electronically submitted by March 2 on an annual basis.
