Where is your hometown?
I grew up in Oceanside, California, a coastal town north of San Diego. My wife (a native Philadelphian) and I moved to Philadelphia in 2001 and Philly has been my adopted hometown ever since.
What did you do before working here?
I was a software developer for a local university. I created interfaces for third-party software, helped support our main administrative and academic systems, and enjoyed being part of an active and diverse college campus.
What do you like most about your job?
The people I work with. Not only are they smart, talented, and hardworking, but they are fun as well.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am an excellent cook. I love to experiment and try new recipes. Some of my favorites are roasted teriyaki pork, roasted chicken, and I make a pretty good peanut butter pie.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I am a movie geek. Many weekends you can find me at the local movie theater. Every year I try to see every movie nominated for a Best Picture Oscar. I enjoy both blockbuster films and independent films. I am also a geeky kid at heart, so I never miss a Pixar film.
